ha. bummer, I have a set of flame red from my 06. I was going to paint them forest green pearl and put them on my 99, fortunately I tried them on and found out they don't fit before I went to the trouble. I never knew the newer ones had that indentation until Saturday.
And I thought I was properly fighting my hoarding tendencies when I tossed my aluminum hinges 2 years ago...only to actually need them later which instead reinforced my "I might need this someday" thought process.

The hinges I have are flame red but they have the "bump" on them. Apparently that is why I put my aluminum ones back on my 2000. Sorry matkal I don't have any to help you out.
