Thermostat housing bolt lengths?

I lost the longer of the two bolts somehow and need to track down a replacement. I know they're both 5/16"-18, but I'm lost for length. I've read both 1-3/4 and 2-1/4 for the length (From Cherokee with the 4.0L, figured it would be the same bolt length). And haven't found a ton on forum posts for proper bolt length.

Anyone know what bolt size (length) to go for? Also if it matters whether or not it's fully threaded

According to the Mopar guide the top bolt is 2.38 or 2 3/8" long, the bottom bolt is .97" or a RCH under an inch long.
