LOL You're much better at sharing stories than I, my friend. And I'm sure you know when to share, and when to keep a tight lip. I'm choosing the latter!
American made 8mm (7.92x57mm) Mauser ammunition annoys the hell out of me. Why in the world would you turn the equivalent of a 30-06 into the equivalent of a 30-30?! On the off chance that some person, someplace, might accidentally / ignorantly try stuffing a 0.323" diameter bullet down an extremely rare 0.318" bore Mauser. Come on folks, give natural selection a chance to thin the herd a little here.
