I heard they fail in the 05/06's
What you have heard about is the OPDA (oil pump drive assembly) which only affected 05-06's. I would personally prefer it to be an original as that would mean the camshaft sensor is a Mopar. It really isn't that big of an issue. Most 05-06 owners swap the OPDA out of caution.
 
Rough country, barricade, and a harbor freight winch. Basically this Jeep was built with the absolute cheapest parts that the person could find. Be better off finding one that is stock for less money. Just my two cents.
 
If you want to spend 15k on a TJ I’ll sell you mine. 121k, auto, and no opda issues because it’s an 03. Also it’s a rubicon.

Looks like rust between the skid and frame in the last pic. I'm a NW PA guy, so I go over them with a fine tooth comb. For $16k, this Rubi looks pretty good. I haven't gone to see it in person yet

$16,000 for a 2004 with 160,000 miles? :rolleyes: I paid $9500 for my 03' with 120,000 miles.
