I have been looking for an LJ for a while and came across this one. Fits my requirements for under 120k miles and green, blue, or orange. Built a little more serious than I had planned (was thinking 3" with 33s). He sent me frame pics too, and I think it looks good. This popped up, and is about 5 hours drive away. Thoughts on the price, condition, upgrades, etc?

Here are the frame pictures. Seems pretty solid, maybe just some surface rust that can be cleaned up?

That's a good maybe slightly high price for a clean LJ with those miles in my area but you are getting expensive wheels and a currie short arm. I think the shocks aren't great and neither is the cold air but those can be relatively cheap things to deal with. If you want a manual it's probably not a bad place to start. Obviously I'd do a close inspection. Intact stock side steps are always a good sign.

(didn't see there was another thread about this)

Seems a bit high. Maybe offer $15K. I wouldn't add any value for a 'rare color/trans combo' unless you really want that color and a manual trans.

Spyder is cheap (compare to Smitty), usually found on Craigslist. Not to be confused with Poison Spider (similarly cheap lol).

I was able to get a decent chunk off the asking price without too much negotiating, but I don't see 15k happening. Also, I don't know about by you, but a nice frame LJ is harder to find out here. Manual is non-negotiable for me, but I am open to other colors. That said, Jeep Green is my #1 by far, and only 2 or 3 others are up for consideration, unless the deal is unbeatable. Silly, but whatever, its my dream, and I have my TJR to hold me over while looking for the right one.

Deleting this thread (if I can) since it is now a duplicate.
