I have a 03’ rubicon running 35x12.50x15 without issues. I would like to find a tall narrow tire to use on it when wife and I travel with our motor home. i want the TJ to fit in a cargo trailer that we use for hauling antiques etc. I like thee look of the old 7.00-15 mud grips, is there a 33-35” tall narrow mud grip? What back space would I need to keep this tire tucked in as close as possible?

Is there a problem with it fitting in the trailer now?
Even if you go to a 9.5” wide tire you are only going to save 1.5” outside width on each side...so 3” total. Maybe another inch or two if you get really narrow wheels with tighter backspacing.
Might be better off getting a different trailer and keeping your current tires?

Interco makes a tall narrower tire.
I believe bfg makes a 33x10.50 as well
You want a factory like BS of 5 inch but you'll have to adjust the steering stops
