TJ 4x4 transfer case shifter is stuck

Gentlemen,

The 4x4 shifter on my '05 TJ is stuck. I removed the front driveshaft, removed the accumulated rust from and lubricated all of the external linkage. Nothing moves. Might some internal component be struck?

I would strongly encourage you to ditch the poorly designed transfer case shifter for a Savvy cable shifter. You’ll thank me ten times over.

Try disconnecting the linkage at the transfer case and see if you can move the arm on the TC.

Hey, I know this is an older post but I was just wondering if you got your TC working. Got the same problem but the leaver on mine is stuck.
