Hello,
I have a 1998 Wrangler TJ 4.0. Last year I replaced the clutch assembly with a Center Force unit from Quardatec along with a new master/slave cylinder unit. All worked fine but every two or three months when I start it in the morning it will lurch forward because the clutch was not disengaged. After pumping the clutch pedal about thirty times it will work fine. The next day it will do the same again. There is no bleed screw on the new slave cylinder, but I remove it and manually pump it by hand to expel any air that might be remaining in the system. There are no fluid leaks and the level in the master cylinder reservoir remains at the normal level. For the last six months everything worked fine and now this problem has arisen again. Has anyone else experienced an intermittent problem like this ? Thanks for reading.

I recently bought the "pre-bled" kit from our local parts store which is an assembled master/slave combo. Still needed to be bench bled as detailed in the video link. I got 6 or 7 bubbles out of it. Don't skip this step!

It wasn't pre-bled if it needed further bench bleeding. The Mopar pre-bled master & slave cylinder assembly installs as-is without further bleeding needed.

And for those of us fortunate enough to live in Kanadastan, we get to re-enact that scene from Deliverance. $398.05

And then there's our local friendly Dodge dealer. $475.00
