TJ rear main seal question type

I am preparing to do my rear main seal. Problem is I live over a hundred miles from the nearest parts store.
I keep seeing 2 rear main seals. One is a 2 piece ring. The other has ears on the one side of the seal... ut other than the ears looks the same.

I dont want to get it apart and then find I have the wrong seal.

How can I be sure which is in my 4.0 2003 TJ?

I was considering just buying both, but I'm new to Jeeps and am trying to understand the subtle differences that parts searching is making evident.

The breakdown you linked me to is great also.
Use to do this stuff on auto lifts. This will be my 1st using jack stands and on my back. Looks pretty straight forward.
