The TJ is a fun thing for me. My commute is only 12 miles a day total. So I got rid of the other car to save on taxes and insurance. The TJ was half the price of my last used car purchase. So I left myself some mods money.

I'm in the same boat. House paid off, kids college paid off, keep cars for at least 10 years before we purchase a new one and we usually pay with cash unless there is a 0% financing. Too many people I know up to their ears in debt and will never be able to pay it all or retire.
The TJ is my toy so that will be around for more than the 10 years. As a matter of fact, I've owned it for about 20 years.

80mph in a TJ ? Personally I run 60-65 on the highway, and 55 or below on secondary roads. Not that I couldn’t run that fast on 32’s, but don’t see the need too.
