Gorgeous! I've always wanted a mildly lifted Commanche. Maybe with 31" tires or something. That would be sweet!

That's what I plan to do with mine. It's a 2WD and I have most of what I need to convert it to 4WD. I'm planning on a 2" lift with TJ Rubicon wheels and 245/75/16 Duratracs ... I think you'd like that (lol).

It's pretty much stock right now ...

Can't wait to see that when it's done! a 2" lift with some 31" tires sounds perfect! You'll need to post some pictures of it when you're done, I'd love to see!

And it looks like you have the short bed too.

Will do. I have a few projects on the go. I'm looking forward to clearing my plate so I can dig in to my Comanche!

It's a short bed alright and that's definitely what I wanted (6' vs. 7' for those who may not be familiar with Comanches). It's 1988 MJ Eliminator which generally has the upgraded interior and some options that the Pioneer and Chief models didn't have. The down side is that they were 2WD. It's quite common to pick up an XJ (or parts) and make the conversion.

Here's the interior ...

The one pictured above has kind of made the rounds on the Comanche forum. It's a beautiful truck with very low mileage but the price is a bit nuts.
