Looking to replace the soft top, does anyone have an opinion on what brand to go with? Also thinking about getting a hard top, possibly. Thoughts?

Hmmm looking for one that's square in the back. I like how it looks on yours but mine is a tad shorter and I need all the room I can get lol

It's real hard to beat the quality and quietness of Bestop's Sailcloth Replace-A-Top so long as you're running the OE factory soft top mechanism.

I wasn't willing to spend $1000 for a Bestop Top.
Bestop's Sailcloth Replace-A-Top is $624. https://www.bestop.com/jeep/2004/wr...bmodel/standard/wndwcolor/clear/doorskins/no/

$656 with tinted windows... https://www.bestop.com/jeep/2004/wr...model/standard/wndwcolor/tinted/doorskins/no/

If you saw one for $1000, that would only be the complete kit for someone who doesn't have any of the soft top parts. That $1000 price would include all the hardware including the top support and mechanism, door surrounds, header, etc. Or the high-zoot "luxury" Twill fabric top which is on a level with the tops on BMWs, Mercedes, etc. Sailcloth is the upgraded OE grade which is heavier and quieter than any other soft top material other than the Twill fabric.

A Bestop is definitely not $1000! Aside from what Jerry said, if you call any Bestop dealer they'll usually give you a discount over the phone. I bought mine from 4WD Parts and they gave me a 10% discount just for calling in and asking for a discount.
