Trac-Loc can it be installed in an open diff carrier

Can the trac-loc clutches be installed in an open carrier differential. For example if you had a 3.74 open differential and wanted to install a trac loc kit will it fit? Or are the carriers different for the open diff. vs the LSD carrier? Or is the something else that would prevent this from being installed?

The carrier is different. You can put a lunchbox style locker in your current open carrier.
Used trac-loc carriers do come up for sale, and are usually cheap.
