In my 2001 Wrangler after setting all night when I go to pull it out of the shop the transmission slips will hardly pull itself out. Then it will engage and work fine the rest of the day. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
 
The fluid is all draining down over night . Put it in neutral for 30 seconds or so to let the fluid pump up . A little more time if needed, but not likely .
 
I have the same issue but only after parking for a week. However after starting I put it in gear w brake on for 10 seconds. The go into reverse for 5 seconds then it works perfectly
