Okay guys, I have a 05 and I’m having an issue where occasionally it goes into limp mode and throws the P1776 (Solenoid switch valve latched in LR position) code, it has the 42RLE. I’ve checked the wiring going to the solenoid pack and the connections on both ends. I also did a transmission flush and filled it with ATF+4. All to no avail. I’m leaning towards it being ether the solenoid pack or the switch valve itself. The thing I’m wondering about is it has 208k miles on it, is it worth continuing to chase this problem or should I start looking at an overhaul or replacement transmission? When it’s not in limp mode it seems to drive fine, shifts smooth with no apparent slippage. I bought it with over 200k on it so I don’t know any of the history on how it was maintained but judging from the shape of everything else on it, it seems like it was well taken care of. Is it crazy to think that if I fix this issue I could get at least another 40 or 50k out of it?
