So I have run into a new electrical issue. Occasionally when turning right it rapidly flashes like it has a damaged bulb but only for 3-4 flashes then returns to the normal flashing. I went through everything today there are no obviously damaged bulbs and the sockets seem in good shape. Cleaned everything and used dielectric grease and reassembled. Starting to think it may be in the actual switch. Has anyone else run across something like this?

You need to clean off ALL the dialectic grease. Get some WD40 Electric connection cleaner and spray it out.

TJ NO Likey that’s stuff on the light sockets

WD-40 Specialist Contact Cleaner Spray, 11 oz. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AF0OFVU/?tag=wranglerorg-20

Sorry was watching Astros beat Yankees ….again.

I put new bulb in, wit Dialectric, and fast flash the next day. Read here that is for Spark plugs not TJ bulbs.

I cleaned it really good, sprayed this, and have no issues again.

If that’s not the issue, check that grounds are clean just starting small.

I didn't make that as clear as I could have, the grease was for the plugs on the back of the switch. Sorry in my head I was running through the process in the order I did things but really didn't spell that out. And no there are no LED lights.

Just for clarity I pulled the bulbs and check them.
Cleaned the sockets and bulbs and reinstalled them.
Pulled the flasher relay and replaced with another one I had spare.
Pulled the switch, checked the pig tails for damage, cleaned everything, greased them and reinstalled the switch.

Retested the system and still getting the same thing. Randomly occasional fast flashing for 3-4 flashes then settles back to normal flashing. It only has done it on the left side the right side seems fine. Additionally while testing I had the trim off and the column lowered so I could try moving wiring around and generally mess with things in and around the steering column and turn signal switch trying to find a source of the issue. That is why I am starting to think it may be switch related. A search of both the site and Google in general so far has not turned up anything. But I do appreciate any and all suggestions.

Since you have cleaned all the bulbs contacts, bulb sockets contacts, checked the wiring at the bulb sockets, checked the wiring at the MFS, looked for dirty grounds, replaced the flasher relay with a spare; you feel that the problem may be the MFS turn signal switch.
Disconnect the wiring harnesses from the MFS and spray some plastic safe electronic contact cleaner into the turn signal switch section of the MFS; cycle the turn signal switch several times to clean the internal switch contacts. Either apply pressurized air to the switch or let the switch sit for a minute or so to ensure the remainder of the contact cleaner has evaporated.
Connect the MFS harnesses and test the turn signals.
This process usually cleans the internal contacts of the turn signal switch.
Plastic safe electronic contact cleaner can be purchased at your local AP, Walmart or online at Amazon.
