Turn signal not turning off automatically

Apologies if this has already been discussed, I couldn’t find anything via search.

This morning I noticed my left turn signal is not automatically switching off after making a turn. Right signal is still working just fine, and I can cancel the signal by simply pushing the stalk back up. Stalk feels normal moving in both directions.

97 sport, I have replaced all but the side markers with LEDs and have an LED flasher relay installed.

Replace the turn signal swirch, it's a 10 minute job requiring nothing more than a Philips head screwdriver. Avoid store brands, especially avoid Duralast from Autozone.

When purchasing the directional arm assembly for the MFS; remember the part changed after '00.
The newer MFS controls the headlight functions and fog lights.

Thanks @CharlesHS, i know my 97 turn signal feels a tad minuscule compared to the later models…until it hits the checkout!

All fixed. Went with a Dorman from amazon for about $36. All seems to work now. Cracked open the 25 year old factory original to see what might have failed, and I found a broken piece of plastic floating around. Looks like it was the end of the piece that triggers the spring return on the inside (it looked like it was attached to the white part that protrudes for the steering wheel to hit).
