Two mini-strokes last week...

Dammit Jerry. Scary stuff man.
I hope for a speedy and full recovery for ya.
Take it easy for a while.
I admire your outlook and you being able to find the positives for yourself in this. An attribute I wish I had.

Holy shit dude! I hate to hear that. How are you feeling now? Maybe pump the brakes on the move for a bit?
Ha I wish! Escrow closes on my house May 2 and May 5 on the house we're moving into! But I'm doing better every day and still (mostly) functional so it'll work out. The docs gave me the good stuff so I'm totally cool with everything. :)

Dang it man!!!!!

Glad you caught it quickly!!!! Godspeed on the recovery and getting everything back to normal!!!!

FWIW, my RN wife says that Florida healthcare is miles more advanced than anything she saw in California.

I wish you a speedy recovery Jerry! I think the chances of recovery are good if you get good medical help quickly, as in your case.
I found my neighbour in her driveway about three years back. She could not say anything it was that bad, so I simply called the ambos. She is now 85 and perfectly fine.

Glad to hear you are doing better. You are on my prayer list.
Careful who you tell this to. Don't want them to pull your DL.
My mother, at the age of 88, told me she wanted a shotgun for her birthday. When I asked why, she said she didn't want them to take her drivers license.

My uncle recently had a very similar experience.
Fortunately (like your experience) the Dr's believe he will have a full recovery with a bit of time.
He says that he still has moments when it is difficult to locate a word, etc. but he's also getting better by the day.

I wish you a speedy recovery sir.

damn Jerry glad your ok. i know thats some scary shit ! in 2011 (I was 48 yo) i had a widow maker and got 2 stents. really had no chest pains just my elbows were killing me, waited 2 hrs before going to the hospital. they said it was a damn miracle I was alive. then in 2018 while at the casino 30 minutes away i started feeling funny, was winning and hated to leave, but got home and knew something was bad wrong. called a friend of mine who is a EMT but he didn't answer, so called his wife and told her what was going on and to get him to come over. I didn't know he was on duty and just getting off and if I'd of called 911 he would of been the one to come. well she went to the station and grabbed him and on the way she text me asking if my door was open shbciidfhbckwlh was all i could type and she knew it was bad ! when they got there my BP was 210/180, he said I'm taking you to the hospital and not one up here, were headed to Atlanta (over a hr and a half away). well 20 minutes in I had a seizure and he had to call in reinforcements. life flight was in route when I started coming out of it so they turned it around and stuck me in the ambulance. about 3/4 of the way to atlanta I came too and the EMT asked me if I knew where I was. I looked out the back window and gave him our exact location, he laughed and said I was looking for in a ambulance, but your right ! well after 8 or 10 ct, mri's and only God knows what other scans, they said I'd had a stroke. I said ok and I'm fine now and going home shortly, nurse laughed and said it would be a few days. DR had me do all the test touch nose, touch thumb to fingers 1234, 4321 sure that you had the same ! few hrs later nurse comes in and asked me how did I know I was going home "because there's nothing wrong with me " she tells me I was right and to bear with her because they never release anyone straight from the ER. ended up losing my driver license for a year because of the seizure, damn hard thing to give up when living alone in the middle of nowhere ! I was 54 years old.... sorry to go on so long, glad your doing well !!!!
