Hi Team,

I've already had so much great support from all over the country but this one is specifically for UK TJ owners.

I am looking to find somewhere reputable in the UK that can help with re-gearing. Hopefully somewhere that won't rip me off and will do a tidy job as my jeep is very tidy.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Also, Does anyone know how difficult re-gearing is? I'm a hobbyist at best, not a mechanic but thought it was worth the ask.

Hi, I'm in the UK (Feltham West London),
I've been looking at regearing as well, watched so many videos that pretty sure could do myself. but its having the time and the place to carry the regear out. I don't have a garage so i have to do all my work on the road outside my house, lucky i live on a quite estate
I know that Jeepey.com (based near Hull) do supply and install but they are VERY expensive. you could try lighthouse jeep parts located in Diss, Norfolk. you also have FTE 4x4 specialists based in Rayleigh, near South End.. It might be easier and this is what i'm looking at doing is speak to Lighthouse jeep parts as they have 2nd hand already converted Dana 30, 35 and 40's with 4.88 diff ratios and then doing a complete front and rear axel swap.

Thanks Keith, That's really helpful. I'm down in West Sussex and so far haven't found anywhere closer that ones you have suggested.

If you have a link to a good video that'd be really helpful. At the moment I'm thinking it looks beyond me but lots of things look like that until you just start doing them!
