Uneven Brake Pad Wear; Calling Brake Experts

Take a look at this picture of my brake pads. One pad is worn more than the other, and both are worn unevenly from top to bottom. Can you diagnose what has caused this?

P.S. yes, I am replacing them very soon. I would like the new ones to wear properly, though.
 
The caliper pin is hanging up. It's rusty or bent. They are $3, so you should replace them.
 
Check caliper pins, clean the boots, and make sure the caliper can slide on them. You also should check the knuckles for divots where the pads ride. Really dumb design from Chrysler, but they didn’t use abutment clips on the front knuckles, so over time, the pads can wear a divot into the surface they ride on and your brakes suffer for it.

The knuckles can be welded and ground back down, if that is an issue
