So my 02 has developed a, as best I can describe, warbling noise. This noise goes away if I engage 4 Hi and returns shortly after resuming 2 Hi. I will be taking it in to my local guy (not a TJ expert) so it helps if I can point him to possible causes.
I am guessing something either loosened up that tightens under 4wd load or a bearing (or similar) has gone kaput. My TJ is stock, no lifts or the like.
