Washer fluid leaks from the cap when level is high

When the windshield washer fluid level is high I get leakage from the cap when I take turns, splashes out onto the fender. Aside from keeping the fluid at a lower level is there a fix for this? A better sealing cap or similar?

'06 LJ if that's a factor.

Having the same issue. I’m thinking just beefing up the seal of the cap but I’m not sure.

Duct tape the cap down, problem solved.

The cap is down, it's not coming off. The problem is it leaks around the edges of the cap easily. There has to be a foam gasket or something we can glue in there so it actually seals tight-ish

Weird, I wonder if mine is missing or if these differed by year. I probably just need to find some foam and cut it to size and glue it in there.

My 2002 has a gasket as well! Looks just like derekmac's photo above.

Got to thinking about this one and came up with the concept of cutting out a piece of rubber the interior diameter of the cap. the rubber could come out of an intertube from a tire. Wondering if that would work, they are not expensive to get. Cut the rubber from the intertube, then glue it down to the inside of the cap.

My '99 has a rubber gasket, I think..... other than that just don't fill it up as much

That looks like a cross section of copper pipe insulation.
There's the fix @Vcook , slice a 1/4" thin cross section of 2 inch pipe insulation and epoxy it to the underside of the cap

Buy a correct diameter rubber washer at a hardware store. If the adhesive won't stick, you could center drill the cap and bolt the washer in place.
