Afternoon all. New member from Alberta Canada. Not new to the Jeep life at all. Enjoying the forums so far. Seems like a lot of knowledge being put out around here. Good to see.
Just found a gem of a Jeep. 98 Sport with the 30" tire option and rear Dana 44. Glad to be back in a low-tech vehicle again!
The day we bought it 2 weeks ago... My 4th "Wrangler".
The way she sits now
Less than 150k original km, previously owned by 2 women and it might have been on a gravel/dirt road once in its life. Both previous owners had it serviced at the same shop too.
The carpets are in cherry condition too. Hated the 90s era graphics and faded flares so I remedied that right away. Waiting for delivery of flat black steelies, 31" Cepek tires, Teraflex lift, Bestop replace-a-top...
Storing the hard top at a friend's place. Removed the side steps and have Smittybilt XRC bumpers waiting to get put on. Wife says our living room is starting to look like a parts warehouse hahaha (and now I know I need a bigger TV lmao)
Had a 74 CJ5, 76 CJ7 and an 88 YJ Laredo (have also owned an 88 Cherokee and selling our current XJ Trailhawk) over the last 23 years...
Looking forward to digging deeper into the forums to see if I can learn this old dog some new tricks.
