What’s this cable? Something audio

This cable seems to run from the back of the (factory) stereo, behind the glove box (where there is some spare coiled up), under the passenger carpet and just behind the passenger seat where it’s been cut off. It looks aftermarket i.e. not neatly routed. I’ve owned this TJ since 2007 but never noticed it until recently...

looks like quick cable (bundled speaker wire) does it look like there was an amp under the seat possibly?
How many wires/what colors inside

Interesting, thanks. I might see what it’s plugged into in the head unit. There’s no sign of anything having been under the seat but that might make sense. The audio is all stock now.

Makes sense, they had a nice stereo installed with amp then replaced the stock unit when selling.

Plausible, because I'm pretty sure the dealer said his sister had it from new and would therefore have had access to a shop at cost price!
