What are the best spark plugs for my 05 Wrangler X?

The "best" spark plugs are arguably the NGK ZF5RN plugs specified by Jeep/Chrysler engineers.

You can pay more for platinum or iridium plugs that may last twice or three times longer than the 30,000 mile change interval specified for the factory plugs, but they won't work any better.

Personally, considering that the job of changing spark plugs on a TJ/LJ is so easy, I would not want to leave a set of plugs in a jeep engine for 100,000 miles without inspection (10 years in a rig driven 10,000 miles each year), and if one is going to remove spark plugs to inspect them one might as well put in fresh ones, in which case there is no cost, service or performance advantage to the more expensive platinum and iridium plugs.

If one routinely drives their jeep more than 15-20,000 miles each year like @TheBoogieman does then platinum or iridium plugs start to make economic sense, but for most recreational jeep TJ owners the less expensive factory specified NGK ZFR5N plugs are a good choice.
