What are your recommendations to freshen up TJ interior?

Choose another color to accent the black. Some go with red, but silver or gunmetal is perhaps more subtle. Use it sparingly, just enough to remove the boring. Don’t get all black wheels. I know that’s exterior. Just sayin! ;)

This is my 1st black vehicle. I really wanted a tan rubicon but did not find even a single one when I was looking. I got a good deal on this black one and so I took it. I most certainly won't be getting black wheels.

I think grey goes well with black. The iggee seat covers I bought are black/charcoal. A charcoal bedrug will also go well. I am jsut reading about how it is to use in wet weather (it rains a lot here) and in terms of how good it is for heat insulation.

Change the gauge lights to LED. Its super cheap and really freshens up the feel of the interior at night.

I am contemplating this - does the dimmer switch work with LEDs or are we stuck with single brightness for the LED at night?

My interior needed some major cleaning/replacing. I purchased the bed rug for the front, and now wish I would have attempted to clean the original carpet first. I tackled the back carpet with some cleaner and it cleaned up great! I personally like the look and texture of the original carpet, but the bed rug is fine. If money is tight, I suggest you trying cleaning yours up. Mine had paint, dirt, and looked very worn. After cleaning, it spruced right up. Not sure if it was the brand cleaner I used or what, but I was amazed .

@Kathy Thanks for the product recommendation. I will try cleaning and vacuuming but i have a feeling I will end up replacing since it looks so faded. If a throrough cleaning will do the trick and save me money I am all up for that!

It dims still, not dramatically so but I actually prefer them on full brightness. Your mileage might vary based on color, I went with red.
