What did they even fix

Update.

Tailgate does not latch all the way.

Tailgate does not appear to be new. I have a hard time thinking that it was repaired because of all the damage but i have the same freaking dents in the gate now as i did then.

Metal shavings left in my jeep lead me to inspect the seat bracket that the said they "custom repaired". bracket is just a warped as ever. it reclines now but when you pull up on the lever(that black triangle piece in the corner if the back of the seat) you have to push it back down to get the seat to lock up again.

Still cant see anything done to the frame. I should be getting everything sent over to me.

The tire carrier they purchased doesnt hold my spare.

They didnt replace the spare tire that was hit.

The paint job looks good.......
Was this an approved shop by your insurance company? It sounds like they are not at all on the up and up. Get the insurance company involved asap.

No it wasnt. This is actually the company that i work for...... i know ......

The sad thing is im not even surprised. Dont get me wrong, we have eccelent cutomer service and we will jusp through hoops to keep you and your vehicle happy. But it seems like because im an employee i am just supposed to shut up and take it.

@mrblaine I saw that you commented on a post about frame measurements however i dont remember what you said, nor can i find the thread its on. I know you are a genius when it comes to jeeps so i figured you might be able to help with what it should measure out to be.

Update

I sent an email listing my concerns this is his response.

"We noticed that it doesnt shut the greatest. With the weight of the spare on it, the tailgate shuts a lot better."

I honestly dont even know how to respond.

Did you get a final invoice showing everything they did? It'll have everything they did itemized with labor, parts, materials, paint, frame labor, so forth.

They just did it. I had an estimate at another body shop per the insurance company. That place seemed so sketchy i wont ever go back. He looked at it for five minutes and printed an estimate for 1,502. Then when i took it to our body shop it sat there for a week (they sure didnt tell me it was just sitting either) while they waited for an insurance adjuster to come out and look at the jeep. After they had their estimate they started working on it. Im not horribly upset because this is from an accedent that wasnt my fault and the other parties insurance has to pay but holy heck i feel like im just being tossed around and im fed up with it.

Get out a notepad and go around the Jeep and note each and everything that is not working correctly that was before the accident. Get a copy of the invoice and match up the items from your list to the invoice. Ask the shop manager to set down and review with you. Don't let them just explain things away. If the tailgate worked before then it better work after. If the frame says it was worked on it, have the shop manager show you exactly where it was touched. Crawl under there with them and take pictures. If they see that you are serious about it then they will take you seriously.

@VallenMaes It's not right but sometimes shops won't take you serious because of your age and try to give you the run around thinking that you will fall for it or just give up. One of my less proud moments was at 19 in the waiting area of a Ford maintenance shop. I had to take my Mustang in for some work that I didn't have the tools for but fully knew what needed to be done. The manger kept giving me the run around and the lied to me about what they had already done. I walked him out to the car showed him where they hadn't even dropped the gas tank and he said that I didn't know what I was talking about and turned and walked back in. I followed back in and called him a liar and "politely" asked him to come back outside to the parking lot to discuss. Right there in front of a full waiting area while explaining how to actually do the proper repair. Long story short they got my car into the bay within the next five minutes and started the job that they A-hole claimed had already been started. Now with that being said, I don't recommend inviting your shop manager to the parking lot to "discuss" but sometimes you have to stand up for yourself.
