What happened to the Jeep wave?

Maybe a Cali thing? Here in TN, most of the JK's, JL's, and Gadi's still wave.

think it is a Cali thing. But in the mountains like Big Bear or Mammoth, I get waves all the time.

I'll guess it's a urban/suburban vs rural thing. Here, in the urban areas, if you get a wave its with one finger and a horn. Get away from the big cities, and people are still friendly and wave to strangers. It's probably the same where yall are.

I would have to be in the right mood to wave first. I'll wave back if someone else waves, I don't care what Jeep they're driving. If it looks bone stock, I won't wave. If it looks like it has some mods, I'll watch to see if they wave first. I'll likely only initiate the wave if it's a modded TJ or older.

My wife's car was in the shop, so drove the DD 04 Sahara for a few weeks. One day she asked me, "Why are a bunch of weirdos waving to me now?"
Before telling her about the Jeep wave, I told her it's probably because she's working out regularly now and people are noticing.
