What is the official design speed for a TJ?

The governor can be changed with a tuner pretty easily. The canned tune I started with had a 162 mph limit, so I just left that.

The tune also bumped the rev limiter to 6,000, which I didn't realize until I forgot I was driving stick one day and bounced off 6,000 merging into the highway...

Haha I don't mind the 113 mph limit. I don't really want to go faster than that in this vehicle. No governor on a TJ? Ever tried topping yours out? I can't imagine the 4.0 has much left after 110 or so. Mine takes it's own sweet time getting up there.

I prefer to drive mine in the Smokey Mountains or Cherokee National forest at about 5mph but admit I will go up to 60 mph to get there… it ain’t about the destination it’s about the trip. Enjoy it.
While y’all that daily drive your TJs- all the best. I drive mine whenever I can but the off-road trails are why I bought this vehicle.

Not much I can add to this response, other than out here in South East Arizona, the secondary hwy's are usually 65mph.
