What is this part?

Hi all. This thing is located under the dash near the passenger’s left toes. Mine makes all kinds of burbling/gurgling/pump sounds when the key is on. Didn’t feel like having to do too much exploring, so does anybody know offhand what this thing is and if those noises are normal? Thanks all

No the heater core is what you are hearing making gurgling sounds.

Saw a guy use a 9/16 socket to do that once. Clamped the hose to each end. Was a pinch but worked.

A socket. That’s pretty smart. I was carrying a hose repair kit and clamps but I like the socket!
