That's is the amp that powers the sub. I replaced mine with a small kicker which I installed under the driver seat and then a kicker sub in the box. I got a slighter bigger sub and I closed up the hole in the box with plywood. For me it sounds great.

Thanks, I think I replace it with a small amp also. I've got a PXA 200.2 laying around somewhere.

Technically, that is not blown... just the foam is deteriorated. (blown speakers typically refer to the drive coils being damaged due to excessive heat)

Bus yes, the part is the amplifier for the sub.
