Are we using since Bartact has gone to crap? Don't want neoprene, can't afford the $200+ offerings, but I need something. What's out there that will not slide around when my fat ass slides across it, and last more than a single Summer with the top off?

Take a look at Cal-Trend seat covers. Been on the seats 3 years at least if I remember correctly. And they have sales quite often.

I have a set of front Bestop covers on BB, been satisfied with them.

I used Seat Covers Unlimited in Mesa for my 91 XJ. They made a template of my seats and made a custom set. Best seat of covers I have ever owned. I'll bet they could make some nice covers for the TJ. Contemplated having them make some. Might be a good idea to deal with someone local for the best results, if the budget allows.

The budget doesn't allow. I looked into getting my Bartact's repaired and just a center panel would be $150.

^ I ordered Bartact seat covers, front & rear, close to 2 months ago. Lots of money on my credit card but haven't heard when they will decide to work on them. Hopefully by Christmas. Consider the wait time for your center panel repair if you go that route...

Looks like it's down to Barricade or Covercraft. Anybody have any experience with either of them?

I have a complete set of covercraft in my Subaru. I installed them right after I bought it in 2016. They are the cordura material I’m pretty sure. They have been great and have survived 2 dogs and me. They fit really well so they don’t slide around like some do. I really considered getting a set for the Jeep it in the end went with just the basic Bartact. I like the covercraft better.

My Bartacts are still perfect... Installed in Oct of 2022.
I called them and found a set of the Tactical covers in stock so no waiting...
Yep.. they cost close a grande for the front and back and I still lust after a set of Corbeau TrailCats.. but I find nothing wrong with the Bartacts

Why not have a local upholstery shop redo your seats? Worth investigating as an option...

The center panel on my passenger seat got torn at the seam. Additionally the back of the driver's seat has a rip about one and a half inches long in it. A couple local places quoted me $150 to replace the panel and to simply stitch up the rip.
For twice that I can replace them with Bartact Base Line covers, and for not much more than that I can get NEW covers from the other places I mentioned here in the thread.
The Barricade covers are about $160, Caltrends about $180, same for Covercraft, and just over $250 for Seat Covers Unlimited.
While I really like the Bartacts, I can't justify spending that much to repair them when I can get new for nearly the same money.
