What would you do?

So I did a frame off restoration to my jeep. It looks good; been done now for 1.5 years. In that time I replaced the radiator 2 times. First time i bought a Napa radiator and it was in for a month and went bad; I messed up and didn't save the receipt. So the second one I bought; I bought from O'Reillys... It is a lifetime warranty radiator and I did keep this receipt. This one is starting to leak as well... haven't pin pointed where it is coming from exactly but will know in the morning if it is the hose or the radiator. Now to my question... Should I spend the money and get a Mishimoto; OR... yank it out, take it back to O'Reillys and get a free one? I must admit... I'm getting sick of changing radiators.

You're making the mistake of buying crappy store brand radiators. This has been discussed numerous times on the forum. If you want a radiator that lasts a long, long time, you should ONLY be buying an OE Mopar radiator. It may cost more, but there's a reason for that.

Mishimoto is garbage as well. I can't stress this enough... The ONLY radiator you want is an OE Mopar one.

X2. And not only will the Mopar radiator last longer than both the Mishimoto and (especially) the O'Reillys, it will also cool better than either of them too.

People get sick of replacing their radiators because they buy cheap radiators, often because of the "lifetime warranty" bulls*** pushed by the stores. Sure they'll give you free replacement radiators but at the cost of having to replace them way too often.

Yes, the lifetime warranty thing is bullshit indeed.

Sure, they'll give you a new radiator if yours fails, but ask yourself this: How many times do you want to replace a radiator?

I'd rather pay more money for an OE radiator and have it last 10 years. Replacing a radiator and dealing with messy coolant is never a fun job.

Factory only. Dealt with that nonsense on a XJ as well as water pump issues.
