Where would a heater core leak show up on a 2005 Rubicon?

Usually in the footwell inside the vehicle.

You won't have to look for it, you'll smell it first.

I smelled it for few weeks before I seen a puddle below the drain tube, so I knew it was coming.

Footwell or it leaks out of the drain tube for the condenser.

That was kind of my point. If you know it's leaking, then who cares where it's coming from.
