Who has made a wall decoration out of a Jeep TJ grille?

Let’s resurrect this one…

These are residing on my living room wall.1947-1949 CJ2A or CJ3A grill I did a little work on and a TJ grill I painted purple. Haven’t figured how to make the lights work as I’m no electrician and I don’t want to burn my house down

I have a grille I’m intending to hang when I’m done building my deck & outdoor kitchen next spring. This thread has me thinking about splitting the front from the rear to cut down on the thickness of the grille… but I’ll have to take a closer look to see if I can keep the headlight buckets in place. I want to run some 12V LEDs into the headlights, and probably some strips in the ribs and around the rear perimeter for back lighting.

I might use the grille to hang grilling implements… a grill grille?

I have a TJ grill hanging and was unable to trim the profile and manage to keep the headlight buckets. My plan was to light the OEM headlights at a dim level. I have a variable DC power supply and found the wattage requirement to even light the incandescent bulbs to an ambient level was quite high so I gave up. It would take a very large transformer to do it.
