@freedom_in_4low does have valid point in cool, dense air. My dad use to bracket race for years, and if you were looking for getting your best ET, 60-65 degree air, with some moisture was best. As day went on and warmed up, the ET in the car was guaranteed to fall between .05-.15 seconds. In bracket racing, this is HUGE, as most wins are between .005-.010 seconds. Having records of ET, air temp, density, and other factors is critical because performance varies throughout the day, and knowing what your car will run on certain air temp, density, etc is how you win.
For our use, a CAI is doing nothing for performance, as if it was that good of a gain, OEM would have implemented it.
