Why does my steering suck with Rough Country 4 inch lift?

I have a tool that is super beefy thanks to my late father. It is probably older than me. I used a little heat and some liquid wrench. When the PA left go, it was quite a pop.

So added a new track bar, oE pitman arm and went for a drive. Definitely an improvement but still a bit wobbly.

For locks I installed a standard sway bar. That also made a big difference.

I believe the combo of worn out track bar, DPA and anti-rock all added to my issue.

It is rarely just one thing-

A lift rolls the axle forward and it has to roll back to get its caster - you have to have that for a good steering feel, but every component has a job and can affect the vehicle-

In my Tj experience I’ve seen-

- crappy tires

- dropped pitmans

- worn hub unit bearings

- loose track bars

- failing track bar bushings

- loose control arm bushings- loose in the mount

- worn tie rod ends

- a loose pitman

- worn control arm bushings in the rear creating rear steer

- a bad steering shaft bearing

- low caster

- toe set wrong

And there is more fun to have - gearbox woes, etc.
