Why does my TJ have a 692 badge?

Hello,

The 2006 TJ Sport I recently bought has the number 692 in silver applied raised numbers just above the word Sport. Does it mean anything in or to the Jeep community, or was this likely just something particular to the original owner. Please advise. Thanks

Tim

Pics help.

This thread is useless without pictures.

There is no factory badge like this that I am aware of.

Thank-you! That's what I wanted to know. I couldn't find any reference to it myself, so I will remove the badge. A forum administrator's expertise is sufficient to me. Thanks for replying even though it wasn't visually engaging.

it might be a trade union or lodge badge, there’s a machinists union 692 in B.C. assuming that’s where your TJ is from.
