We had a team event/meeting at a retreat in Brookdale just a few miles north of Ben Lomond and I'll be damned if I didn't need a spotter on paved roads with the elevation changes and cut backs. Anybody who hasn't driven those roads has no idea what they're missing!

The view at the Las Alas Retreat can't be beat. Anytime you're sitting above the clouds in a grove of Redwoods life is good . . .

Going back to the other thread "Calexit: Bye-Bye California?" is there a snowballs chance we could just let those to cities secede? The whole German City/State thing might apply here.

@Robin Down No joke though. Those passes through those areas are hair raising at night in the rain.

Almost looks like the Coast Range after any significant rainfall. There's a reason none of the roads up there are paved, and it's not because we don't know what asphalt is.
