Wife had a massive heart attack

The device was implanted. After some going around scar tissue on her heart. Now if they can get her fluid build up down. She will be able to come home. But we won't know about the "maybe" dead part of her heart for several weeks. When they can do a viability study.

Thanks for all the kind words. It really does help.

Now to arrange for a hospital bed and home healthcare.

So my wife had a massive heart attack friday. She goes in for another angiogram tomorrow. If that doesn't work it's open heart surgery. She had two blockages removed friday and two stents put in. The third is the largest artery in the heart. Her heart is only pumping at 50%.

So if my posts are off this week. Please forgive me.

Well my wife had open heart surgery this week. Was in a medically induced coma for three days. With chest left open. They closed her chest yesterday. But shes out of her mind from coming out of anesthesia. She may remain in that state for a couple days.

They put in a pump. That is a bridge to transplant. She has to have a heart transplant.

But before that she has to get her antibodies down. Which may take a month or two.

Been a rough couple months.

Oooof, that's some life changing stuff right there. My wife's heart went pop (it was actually her aorta) after our second kid at the ripe age of 34. She had to have emergency open heart to save her life and several subsequent surgeries. Life sure changed after that, the phrase "new normal" is like a slogan in our family now. After the docs saved her life they told us that she'd need another open heart within about 5 years to 'do it the right way' lol. The doc that did the work explained it this way: he did an emergency roadside repair with no notice to get the car home, but she's going to need another well-planned surgery before too long so it's a permanent fix. Them 5 years are about up & we're prepping for it.

Sorry to hear about all this man, I really am. Prayers for you and take it a day at a time.
