I have a set of these and they're awesome. Getting the original screws out took some work. Had to drill them out.
I like that style , but my knee jerk reaction is wear a seat belt if you run them...seems they could Impale an eye socket in a wreck. That’s just my gut...not a fact.

Mine did not come with instructions. What measurements did you use to drill the hole? This past weekend I installed a set of Wild Boar grab handles. man I wish I did this a long time ago, what a difference it makes in getting in my Jeep.
For under $25 it’s WELL worth it.

I think you can download the measurements from the Grab Bars brand website or where they are selling them on Amazon. Same measurements regardless of brand I would think. After installation I had a HORRIBLE squeaking because my measurement was not perfect and had to take the trim back out and dremel the hole. No problem though, the hole is on the bottom side of the trim and not really noticeable.Mine did not come with instructions. What measurements did you use to drill the hole?

I just took the plastic trim off all together before installing mine, looks fine without it on there IMO.
Cosmetic? What about the visors and the door seals?
Then I'm confused about what you removed and wh
look at the extreme terrain link i posted above. scroll down to the "TJ 2004-2006 GraBars Installation Supplement" part. That plastic trim is what I removed since I did not want to bother drilling a hole through it for the grab bar. TJs prior to 2003 did not have this.

( I'm pretty sure in 2003 only Rubicons had it. For 2004-6 all models had it I think)
