Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

I have no doubt I could engrave a groove. Would it open the door? Not a chance! lol

As I was pulling up to the stoplight onto Hwy 2 in Monroe yesterday the trailer brake disconnect warning came on in the truck. So when I got back from my VA appointment I hooked back up to the trailer and started investigating what might be wrong.
The trailer battery had flopped onto it's side and broken the positive terminal off..... 🤨
So ran into Monroe looking for a new battery. NAPA had one.... $65!! Could get it off Amazon for $20 but wouldn't get it until Wednesday...
O'well I needed a battery.
So trailer brakes fixed. But need to make something to hold the battery inside the box so it doesn't break again...
Just one more thing to deal with.

Edit: Of course I'd forgotten to take pictures... not like it matters.

Well I looked at the Jeep this morning and figured out why the height sensors on the drivers side were going all wonky.....

So I need to figure out something that will be stronger than hose clamps to hold the height sensors onto the lower links...

The have to be able to slide around the arms so I don't see how I could weld them onto the arms...

Ideas? Thoughts or suggestions?
Maybe make a skid for them?
Trying to SWAG it here.

Weld some kind of slider track on the top? Anything on the bottom of the control arms is just going to keep getting scraped on rocks

That was my first thought, but it seems like it could turn into a headache.

What about this style of clamp that might be a little stronger and slicker?

I don't think anything going under the control arm will survive the rocks. I'd make sure the suspension is dialed in, and then weld a tab to the top of the control arm. You will be limited to full rotations if you ever have to adjust the control arm lengths, but I think that would likely be fine.

I'm thinking you're correct. They're aluminum so I'll have to take it to someone who can tig weld the tabs on for me.
