Still working on my laundry list of items to be repaired on the (well used) '04 LJ I bought last year....one of the smallest (but most annoying) is the windshield washer not working. Looks like no power to the small washer pump when engaging the washer. Haven't tried to trace the wiring back yet...I was hoping maybe I could just swap the rear wiring to the front to see if it works, but turns out I can't find any wiring for the rear!

You've got to determine for sure if it's getting power or not... "looks like no power" isn't very convincing. Buy and use a 12v test light if you don't have a meter that you know how to use. Test lights are actually very good for simple problems like this, I even carry one in my TJ's tools.
I would unplug the washer pump and then test for 12v maybe the pump is bad and shorting it to ground
That was actually my first test, unplug then see if there was power to the connector, unfortunately nada.
Check this post and look for the factory service manual of your TJ it should have wiring diagrams
