I’m about to store it for winter ….
Many projects

Either modify my 4.0l head ( ported and shaved .035 ) to gain hp/torque
OR build myself a stroker

Id like to hear from people who did do a stroker translant
Is it really worth it ?
$$$$ cost vs performance
Fuel consumption is it similar or worse ?

Thanks for the input

Given you a bump - I believe @Woodrow Can give you some good feedback on his motor.

I have a Golen 4.6L stroker that I installed 2 years ago. I did chassis dyno runs on the stock 4.0 before removing it and the stroker after install. Details are in my build thread but essentially got a 25% bump in hp and tq with the stock tune. Not too bad reallly with a 15% increase in displacement. Some say a tune will help but my personal experience is tunes on NA gas motors are underwhelming. Additionally, there are no knock sensors so big timing advances (as builders like Golen use to produce impressive engine dyno numbers) probably aren’t a really great idea in real life. MPG dropped by 0.5-1 4.6 vs 4.0. Hope that helps.
