At the end of my diesel swap and the last thing that has me tripped up is the wiring.
Once upon a time I did aircraft wiring in the Air Force. But that was over a decade ago now. Haven’t played with wires much since.
I need to install a circuit for the fan. But I’m not worried about that for the next 7 months. Not like a need cooling around here. More like I need a heater to warm up the coolant.
The real issue is the no bus signal I get. I had the wiring harness removed and am now have it re routed to reach the necessary items in the rear of the vehicle.
I know it’s not the instrument cluster throwing the code because I used the plug for the speedometer to get the reading for the crack case position sensor so it would actually fire up. Which it did three times.
(Made me laugh since it was showing me driving at 75mph instead of idling at 750rpm)
So I relocated and ran three wires from the multi pin connector off of the pcm and soldered in a new three pin for the crank case. Removed a ton of old useless wiring now since the motor has its own computer and I no longer need wires for MAF or spark plugs.
So looking at the schematic it would seem the bus line is the blk/drk blu. And I would have it running to each of the sensors.
Can I have splices in a bus line?
Does it have to go to each sensor?
