If you want a lightweight , easy to transport folding mat to lay on under your jeep, try a plastic coated foil type windshield sunshade .

They don't absorb water , cost under 10 bucks and clean right up.

They will fit easily under a TJ back seat.

That's a great idea with the windshield sunshade!

I've been using a couple of those 2'x2' foam squares that lock together like puzzles, keep them under the tool bag in the back and you can connect them together to make a 2'x4' pad.
