Would these wheels and tires work?

So, the teenager has a 99. It’s got a 2 inch lift, with 31 inch tires.

Would these work for winter? Or would they be the wrong size and not compatible?

Those are JK wheels. You would need JK to TJ wheel adapters to run those. Plus, those calculate out to about 28". Should be fine, but still smaller than the 31's you have now.

Your kid's TJ has a 5X4.5 bolt pattern. You would need to get adapters to run these wheels. It's fairly common, someone even wrote up a how-to on here:

Those are from newer Wrangler so have 5x5 bolt pattern. Your 99 would be 5x4.5. You would need adapters to use those rims.
