Would this be a good soft top?

That would be great option.

One option to consider if you like the factory style top: Some don't like the Supertop frame as much as the OEM frame. So if you're able to find a used OEM top at a decent price, you could toss the fabric and buy a RAT (replace a top). Also might save some money going that route, although it's more work.

That's a great option. I have had a few soft tops and nothing has beat the Bestops. That said, I changed my this past summer and went frameless. Third frameless in a row. so much more versatile.

If you look into the top he linked to, it's almost identical to the OEM frame work. The difference being the sunrider feature addition.

The frameless boasts a much larger Sunrider panel that exposes about twice the area that the SuperTop. There are a few threads here about challenges with keeping the folded back top deck fabric for the SuperTop from caving in on you head when driving. Not an issue with the TrekTop.

I bought the TrekTop as well on mine, and love it. The sunrider portion folds all the way back to the center hoop on the cage. Not a single issue with the Bestop!

I would stay away from Rampage tops, especially if you live in a hot/humid climate. I tried them at first, and the stitching failed within 6 months in the hot South Florida weather. They replaced the top, but the tension straps on the replacement dry-rotted completely in a year. You also are required to purchase a header piece to secure the front to the windshield frame...

I have an OEM top with sunrider and replaced it with a RAT. I've thought about eventually replacing it with a Trektop NX since I never just fold it back anyway. I usually just take the windows out and leave it as a bikini. So figure this would be better with the Trektop since I don't really use the frame.

Only thing I don't like on any of them is the rear window. I've heard the rear window on the Trektop is even more of a pain to remove and reinstall?

I'm probably going to get a cage in the next couple years. I will have to make a decision by then.

I leave the top section on, and use it as a bikini/safari style top, and it works great.

The rear window isn't too bad, just need to be sure to get the zippers started before you secure the lower part of the sides into the tub. Also, be sure to use beeswax, or a good zipper lube on all the zippers, and they stay working good.

I can't say the window is a problem. I remove the plastic stiffeners that are in the corners of the side windows. Been doing that since my first trektop ages ago. If you do it from the start, the top will mold in from the start and you won't see any wrinkles or looseness. Check my forum image album.. there are a few pics in there I'm sure. With the stiffeners out it is easier to roll up the side windows with the rear window for storage and zipping up when reinstalling all the windows is a piece of cake. Zero issues with the back window. Truth told I like the J-Channel setup on the top of the rear window more than a full wrap around zipper.

Like @Artsifrtsi said, bees wax on the zippers helps regardless.

I can't stand the frame. I have a Bestop InstaTrunk so no where to stow the frame when the top is down. Plus, there are so many more configurations you can choose from with the Trektop.

I am coming up on a year with this Bestop Trektop Nx.. My third if you count my two prior JKs. 100% happy with it.
There are times I am less than enamored with the fastback look, but functionally it is spot on perfect. No frame to contend with. Painting the underside black makes a HUGE difference in the appearance from inside and out when it is folded back.

Most don’t realize there are two open positions with the Sunrider either. Half open and open all the way.
