Wrangler TJ tires and build

Hello guys! First thing first I want to thank everyone in this forum, you guys made my first days of living with a Tj much easier haha.
I recently bought a new to me Wrangler Tj 2005 2.4 with 6 gears manual. I am trying to figure out a lot of things (reverse kicking out, fuse 26 constantly blowing off, etc etc) but now it’s time to put new wheels. I think I will go with 15x10 and I am thinking about 33’s or 35’s. The jeep had already a lift installed (probably 4 inch(?), I measured front suspension at 40 cm means something like 15,7 inches) and nothing else. I ve got a Dana 44 on the rear and Dana 30 on the front, maybe there is regearing too but I am not sure about it. The previous owner was running 35’s and was looking really nice so that’s the thing now. Should I go with 33’s or 35’s? The car as you can see in the picture bellow looks empty with that lift and small tyres and I am afraid that this will happen with 33’s too. I am planning to do some off road, mainly snow and mud terrains I guess but also some highway trips to reach that places (100-150 km max). I am planning to upgrade a lot of things in my jeep but the project won’t finish until next year as there are a lot of things to do. I am living in Greece and prices are two times higher here than Amazon haha.
I would be more than happy to hear your suggestions or any additional information, thank you for your time.

I'd find out if it's been regeared before going with larger tires. Go with 15x8" wheels and 33s max. Maybe even 33x10.50s for a 4 cylinder.

Flat flares, 4" lift and 33s.

I think it is but if it’s not I will do it at some point. I drive it though with 35s and it was smooth, I didn’t felt any significant loss of power. Yours looks great! You are on 33x12,5 or 10,5? If you have any more pictures from behind or the front side would be great for me to visualise how my Tj will look like.

With that height, 33's would look about perfect and save some strain on the 4 cylinder. Checking your axle gearing would be crucial though. A crude way to check is to jack up the rear axle, make a mark on your rear driveshaft, and spin the tire exactly one rotation. The number of times the driveshaft turns is your gear ratio. You'll have to match it with the available ratios for our axles. So if it spun 3 and 3/4 times, it would be 3.73, 4 and 1/2 times would be 4.56, almost 5 would be 4.88, a little over 5 would be 5.13. Hope this helps.

The pictures with the 35s was taken by the previous owner, he sold it without them.

Oh nice thank you for the information. I am going to check it tomorrow and I will come back with an update.

Greek it’s an easy language though, anybody would take summer lessons in a Greek island

Hello guys! Finally ended up going with what most of you recommended – 33x12.5R15 tires and 15x10 wheels with -40 offset. I just liked the look better with the wider stance. The Jeep definitely feels slower now, but the suspension actually works way better. Surprisingly, a lot of the weird rattling I had during acceleration is completely gone, almost to the point that I’m reconsidering whether I really need the SYE kit right away.
