Wrecked her

I feel for ya brother. My wife has been hit twice in the last few years. Totalled each time. (Not TJ's.)

But it's not the money that is the PITA. It's trying to find another used car that's worth a damn. That can take months. Huge PITA. I've looked months before for a solid used cars of one make and model or another. I spent a good 3 months(?) at least looking for my TJ. Had to kiss alot of frogs along the way.

This is also why I want to put large tubular bumpers front and rear on my Jeep. I don't even care if they're any good. Actually the cheaper the better. If I get hit I only want to have to worry about a cheap bumper. Instead of body damage that could easily end up a total in a 20 yr old vehicle. Not that that might have helped you here. Seems like you got hit pretty hard if they were worried about frame damage.

Very afraid of the same thing happening to me here in LA traffic. One fender bender and your back to the drawing board trying to find another 20 yr old Jeep. All the while needing a car to drive. And you know that insurance isn't gonna give you more than a few weeks of rental car. I just drove back from Costco. And saw two wrecks. One was flipped on the freeway. Sitting on it's top. Traffic here is just terrible.
